A new dawn and a new promise to keep!

Yesterday was watching KBC with the whole fmily .It is not that I am a KBC fan but that is how the whole family bond over dinner and television . And the contestant was a lady in her forties with two teenager kids .I could not help noticing that the lady was so fit and health conscious. Nowadys KBC shows a small clipping from the contestant's daily life and it was inspiring to see that in spite of her work and her daily chores , she is very regular in her yoga.
Once the show ended I reminded myself that I have been making resolution every day for almost month now that I am going to get up early and go for a morning jog but never able to keep it up due to my laziness . That night while going to bed I reaffirmed in my thoughts that I am going to wake up at 6 o'clock . And next morning I woke up exactly when it was 6 o'clock in the morning. My inner voice just asked me to get up and go for walk. I was almost in a trance like state and pushed myself out of the bed. It is astonishing to see how your mind programs your body if you want something badly and really want to achieve it.
I woke my sister up and after freshening up we both proceeded to the revived lake
( That is a long story of the beautiful lake which I will tell you more in my next blog)
which is adjacent to our apartment complex. I was feeling very happy when I came back after the walk . I was able to break up with an old habbit to sleep late and was able to enjoy the cool breeze and the beauty of nature. This is just a start and the struggle will be to cultivate as a habbit and not fall to the lure of sleeping late .........and hope i m able to succeed :-)
Do you have a story to tell? Do you also struggle to stick to your fitness regime ? If you care to share , I am listening ....................

welcome back...

As for a fitness regime, in the last 10 years of trying to make a routine of it, I have faltered at some point or the other. Then I discovered Mumbai autos who refuse to ply short distances. Thanks to them, I now have this compulsory brisk 40-min walk back home after work and now I really enjoy it.

It's not much, but it's a start...
